What a Brilliant Holiday!

... Maybe the food is repetitive, maybe there is only entertainment every other night but overall this holiday was the best holiday me and my girlfriend have ever been on. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the one thing i dont recommend is flying with thomas cook... So please dont be put off by the bad reviews all the snobs have wrote because the holiday is what you make it and the hotel helped us make this holiday fantastic!

Side

What a wonderful little peninsula on the Mediterranean. This town has it all. Lots of restaurants, bars, and shops, but also beaches and lots of ruins. Our room at the Hotel Lale Park was a little small, but we had a great time here.

... place. We ate there on an outsıde floating dining room. Fresh trout from the trout farm located there. We started with some wonderful bread that was flat, air filled and shaped like a large elongated frisbee. I would tear off a piece, fill it with butter and goat cheese and consume it. I think I ate an entire loaf myself. After lunch we went to the beach. There we swam in the Mediterranean Sea. An amazing experience. In the distance were ...

A long, tiring day of tourism

... and postcards and other junk. I was amused to see low-end bellydance outfits, but no, I didn't buy any of them. After that stop, went further up the river valley. Lots of nice scenery, cool mountains and stuff. Also, bits and pieces here and there of the old Roman aqueducts that used to carry water from the mountains down to the city of Side on the coast. That was one of my favorite parts of the ...

Antalya at last

... much-needed shower and a bit of rest, I did eventually get in some exploring. I discovered that there are a lot of parks along the Mediterranean, including one really cool one made of exercise equipment cleverly disguised as a playground - I have to go back and get a picture and try it out. I also got a closer photo of a mosque with a minaret. Now it's about an hour later than I had hoped to go to sleep... time for me to crash!

An Easy Relaxing Do Nothing Kind Of Day

... on the boat but it turns out that one of them was the captain, the other was a mate of his (İ think a skipper of another boat) and the deckhand was the 3rd guy. 20min later we're still bobbing along in the harbour waiting for any other tourists to join to make it worth his while to venture out, so I make some excuse about a bus leaving at 2pm and get my cash back and bugger off. The moral of this story - Turkish Travel Law No. 2 (to go after no.1 about not ...
