Phase Three – Setting Sail
Paros
We disembarked the ferry and took in the marvelous sights of the port of Parikia – the windmill, white-washed buildings, clear blue sky. Our meeting point was the Marina Café. We used the tourist map supplied by Blue Star Ferries and info from Exas Yachts to find it. The check-in was located just behind the Marina Café and on the second ...
... are still many columns as well as some interesting mosaics. Even with what remains, there is enough to get a good idea of what the island would have been like in its heyday. The best know sculptures on the island are a row of lions.
We anchored within the Bay of Delos and returned in the afternoon for lunch aboard. After we finished exploring the island, we boarded the yacht and returned to Mykonos for the evening. We went to shore and found a ...
... beautiful place with the village full of white-washed buildings scattered around a maze of little streets and alley ways. Just at it seemed that Santorini was made for couples, Mykonos was make for singles and the party life. This is one place that I want to return to again.
... meter's weren't running by the minute.
As is custom for us, we found a local bottleshop and purchased a local bottle of wine, with grapes grown in Greece.
We returned to the marina area and then made our way to the area of the island called "Little Venice". Here the most western part of the town meets the sea. Buildings are constructed right at the sea's edge with their balconies overhanging the ...

... aour own transportation. It was our first slow boat, but it wasn't bad at all. When we arrived I managed to find the guy, with some difficulty, luckily some other people for the same place were on the same ferry as us. We got to the place, right on Perissa Beach, and it became quite clear that this was a different proposition from everywhere else we had stayed. it was definitely catered toward the travelling ...
Naoussa, Greece michellemacadam... road. To make things even more exciting it twisted abruptly and you couldn't see past any twist since there is a stone fence on either side. We managed to get there with ease, well that was until we went down the cliff of a mountain. And boy do I wish I was kidding. The road went straight DOWN, the brake barely could hold us from descending and as soon as I let go of the break a little it would rush forward like a drag racer pouncing on a green light. We made it to the bottom and finally ...

Santorini, Greece natedawg6/24/05 Last night, David and I awoke at 4 a.m. and watched the transit between Sicily and the coast of Italy. We had to wait for the pilot boat, as it is a very narrow channel. It took about 1-1/2 hours to make the transit. We had a full moon, and it was quite beautiful to see the lights on shore and the moonlight on the water. Yesterday was a day at sea, which we spent ...
Santorini, Greece keddHow on Earth did I get to be so lucky?
My family and I went on a cruise of the Greek Islands. We ate a lot, got sea sick once, soaked up the sun, and absorbed the classically beautiful white and blue colours on the islands. There weren't very much ship activities that my sister and I were interested in but Allyson and I did win a bingo game! Mykonos was by far our favorite island because of its beauty.
