Les did a few little jobs, we had lost a hub cap so he replaced it and checked there was still enough grease as a lot was splattered around the wheel. Zakros gorge is slap known as gorge if the dead, as there are a lot if caves that have in historic times used as burial tombs. The valley bottom was full of shrubs and boulders with a path snaking through them, if course it stopped at the river, which again we couldn't cross. ... and not very welcoming. We found a small cove to park for the night, there is definitely a storm brewing, the wind us getting stronger and there are occasional showers. The cove is very nice, there is a long beach in a tight curve with steep mountain sides at each end, the centre area is all olive trees leading up a gentle incline to the village which us about 5 kilometres away.
