      ... stunning coves and turquoise waters, up into the hills and pine plantations, through local villages and then back to the coast at Fethiye.

      Staying at a hotel above the yacht marina and port which is huge and has some incredibly expensive and enormous yachts and motor launches, a lot of which are covered for winter. The population is about 80,000, and it's a big tourist spot for British people apparently, and obviously a prosperous and modern city.

      Kas is a lovely seaside town - only about 7,000 inhabitants. It's very quiet at the moment. About four couples staying at our hotel. The temperature is about 19 degrees and sunny. Just right!

      ... pistachio layer, then drenched in local honey which makes the bottom layers of filo extremely soggy and is probably a dentist’s nightmare but for that naughty moment in time I kid myself that honey is good for one and nuts are healthy, right?

      ... closed at 2.30am any way. Our poor Captain was woken by us returning, and he stayed up until the others came back. We decided since we got first dibs on sleeping up the top, that we'd sleep under the stars that night! So we grabbed our bedding and moved up top. It was pretty cool actually sleeping under the stars, it was such a still night too, so it was very calm.
