BOLSHOI!!! :O
Tonight we went to the Bolshoi theater to see the dress rehearsal of the opera La Traviata. I do not even know where to start with the whole expereince! I was absolutely awestruck by the Bolshoi. The red velvet box seats, golden interior, painted ceilings, decorated walls, giant crystal chandelier hanging in the center of the ceiling, ENORMOUS stage, and detailed set design were just a few of the first things that took my breath away. Day 1 in Moscow
... to study the map, go "Hmmm...." a couple of times, and then starts pointing alternately at the tube station we had just come out of and the map. He had picked up that we were in the wrong place, and was trying to direct us to the place on the map that I had my finger on.
At this we gave up, and set off in the direction of a road sign which was pointing towards a main road that was marked on the freebee map. After about 20 minutes or so, we noticed a sign for a travel agent ...
4 days, 76 stops, 5193km and 7 time zones.........
... I needed a train husband. And there was only one person for the job – Giorgio. He is super cool; we bonded over our packing lists (packing large amount identical foods stuffs, medical supplies and other knick-knacks) and our love of the one-stop-shop that is Amazon.

The Spirit of Moscow
... slices. I ate none of it but put the milk in the fridge and kept the cornflakes which I eat this morning with the cold milk and a banana from the market - delicious. We check-out and store our packs in the hostel locker. Our train doesn't leave until 10pm so as we have a full day ahead of us we decide to spend some of it on a river cruise. it may change in the future, but Moscow's basic tourist infrastructure is rubbish.

... me. I watched several episodes of "desprate house wives" but they didn't have so many of them and then some "friends" and I'm now listening to Adele while writing. I want so much to go to bed when I reach my hotel but I know I have to wait until night for that otherwise my body won't easily get used to the new time zone.
