There were several reasons for our trip to Italy. Adventure, yes. New experiences, sure. Relaxation,...eventually. Yet, if it needed to be distilled down into one, visiting the hometown of Lisa's beloved grandfather Rudolfo would be the one. Alfio Zippili is a distant cousin who lives in Corropoli with his wife Rita. Alfio speaks only Italian and Rita some English, Italian and French. They were our tour guides for the day. One ...

Saying goodbye to Positano was bittersweet. We would love to spend more time here, but more adventures await. Our journey today takes us to the Abruzzo region of Italy via: 1. ... We had just finished watching Gladiator on the bus so I was quite excited to see it in real life. It was truly amazing!! Such a huge part of history!! The size of it alone was pretty unbelievable. All the ruins underneath the city are visible in places too which is quite cool. You can actually see where Cesar would have walked. The original foundations are about 6 meters below the current ground level. The next morning we set off nice ...

The famous tower that leans! This was only a very quick stop in Pisa to but compete tourists :) we couldn't afford to stay much more than an hour anyway because it costs an insane €200 an hour to park in the car park around the corner from the tower. It was pretty cool to see it but it would not be something that I feel I would ever need to see again. We have been so lucky with the weather it has been absolutely ...
