        ... and then do finishes. He showed us how he cuts the leather hide into strips and weaves the leather. It was so nice to see such a skilled craftsman creating something completely genuine ,from the beginning,and to see the pride in his work.

        I felt it my duty to help Andrea keep his family trade alive and continue my support for the struggling Italian economy, so purchased a bag (or four*).........after all I didn't want Noel coming all this way for nothing ...

        ... and when we have consumed them we discover he has taken our panniers to our second floor front room. The view of the mountains is fantastic. He offers to wash our bike gear as well.         Today we ventured further afield to visit Ascoli Piceno, and explore the old town.
