... to his family back home in Italy. Alfio still has the original. Also, amongst Alfio's archives, Lisa spotted a picture of Grandpa and Grandma Michetti at the christening of one of their children. Sorry for the lengthy entry, but this was really a day full of memories. As I write this, we are starting our second full day in Florence. The story of getting here is one that I will save for dinner parties. Now we relax. Very few ...

So, four people who spoke little Italian walked into the Italian speaking 6pm meeting at 7:20. So so glad we did. First a funny part: when we walked in, the attendant looked for seats. ... life!!! Again something I never ever thought I would experience but something that I think will stay with me for the rest of my life. After a very busy morning gene. Then went back to the coliseum to look through it and then spent the rest of the day exploring ruins and palaces. It was another stinking hot day. Unfortunately our day didn't end on the greatest notes because one of the girls on our trip almost got mugged : pick pocketed by ...

The famous tower that leans! This was only a very quick stop in Pisa to but compete tourists :) we couldn't afford to stay much more than an hour anyway because it costs an insane €200 an hour to park in the car park around the corner from the tower. It was pretty cool to see it but it would not be something that I feel I would ever need to see again. We have been so lucky with the weather it has been absolutely ...
