Caught a local bus to the bus station to board another one to take us to Dalyan. It was only a relatively short trip but this was a slow bus stopping whenever anyone standing on the side of the road flagged the driver. ... me crazy.

When I got to Akyaka it was like a ghost town, it was the first time that I'd been there out of season and only the locals were there. The beach was empty, all of the sunbeds and umbrellas were gone, it was so weird! As I couldn't do much, I had lots of cuddles with Bunny, he is always so happy when I come back :)

I had another painful bus ride back to Ankara, and my hip is still bad :( situations of the south.

... old town of The town of Rhodes. In the 14th century the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem (quasi religious, quasi military) showed up and saved the island from invasion of the Turks. They made Rhodes their headquarters and built a large ( 3 separate walls and 3 dry moats) fort , the Palace of the Grand Masters and a hospital which still stands. It is the end of tourist season here so many of the shops are already closed. No great shopping so ...

Dalyan is a very nice little village..fairly remote that has a little beach called Istuzu...and on the way to this beach there is a Hostel/resort called Bahaus Hostel Resort on the left...If you should find yourself in this part of our world...Stay there! Then drive the windy road down to the beach an stop in on the Turtle Sanctuary where a very dedicated group of folks are rehabilitating L loggerhead turtles that come here to lay their eggs and then get caught up in fishing ...
