Intrepidness
... for kayaking over The Sunken City, and in view of some Greek islands. Today was a little cloudy, but for mountain biking it was good. Yowza were my legs screaming! Time for a nice Turkish bath including a massage at the Hamam. The last 3 days are just visiting more mosques and ruins, and sitting on the bus until we reach Istanbul to say goodbye. Then I have a week to roam on my own before I head to Santorini in Greece! Goodbye! ...
Kas-hing in
... beach was too strong. So rather than walking on gravel road, we rockhopped on the beach, which was tough work in the heat. Afterwards we descended on "Del Boy's" restaurant to rehydrate.
The food in Kas was great too. Excellent pide, kebabs, and bread. And the breakfast buffet? Well, it took several visits each morning to do it justice!

Iceburg straight ahead
... waters were Crystal blue and you could see down very far. There were many boats going by, but they have to stay back 100m, so I reckon they wouldn't be able to see anything, they were probably wishing they were in our kayaks too!
After exploring over the sunken city we headed to another Simena Village which has a Castle with great views and lovely cafes for relaxation ( AKA- a nice refreshing Efes) After our beer we got back in our kayaks to paddle by rock-labyrinth ...
Family Holiday in Kalkan
Villa Muz was to be our home for the next week. It was a lovely 3 bedroom villa with infinity pool and lovely sea-views. We spent the week enjoying ourselves, cooking at home, learning that Michelle makes a smashing babaganoush*spelling, laughing and catching up, swimming and even a bit of star gazing.

De laatste 12 mijl zuidwaarts
... waar een zo’n 10 gulets liggen. Hier is het water slecht 3 to 4 meter diep en kristal helder. Vandaar dat de schipper van de gulets hun passagiers de gelegenheid geven zich te laten opfrissen. Wij varen door naar Kalekoy en zien al van verre het kasteel hoog boven het plaatsje prijken. We ankeren in het veld van gulets en klimmen via zeer primitieve treden en huisjes naar de archeologische site van Simena. Simena ...
