... in the lounge, and then skipped dinner in the restaurant in favour of pizza delivered to our room, and some Macarons left by the butler.


Despite being out of sight of land, the pizza left nothing to be desired. I had to do a bit of a custom order which ended up pretty much the same as the ‘Diavolo’ in I had Venice, and it turned out to be fresh, crisp & tasty. ...

19 Aug. We are docked at Katakolo at 8.30am on yet another clear blue sky day and calm seas. Temp again very warm- “Beautiful”. After breakfast we walked ashore and strolled around the local shops which were selling the usual “Tat”. I did buy a white cotton Greek shirt for €29 and then we had a drink at a local cafe on the water's edge with views of our ship.Lorraine had fresh orange juice and I tried a “double greek coffee” ...

Your other cities and towns were equally as varied and fascinating, some with medieval walled cities, others with Venetian architecture, grand harbours, palaces, castles or fortresses perched high above. In most places, no matter how touristy, I could always find plenty of quiet alleyways to get lost in or lonely dirt tracks to ramble among your olive trees or citrus groves.

There was another group from the Nomads here when we arrived, and looked like they had been treated with some beautiful food and wine, so we couldnt wait for our turn.
