Well. Not quite what is was all those years ago. I remember canoeing around to this deserted beach that was impossible to get to from the island due to a lake behind and no road access. How things have changed........... The end of the only main road is this beach which has the accolade of one of the most beautiful in the world. Hmmmmm. Now aimed at the sun loving tourist market and was packed with people ...

A good nights sleep. Tilly woke up at 2:30 UK time thinking we had to go to the airport. The briefest of a reality check and she was off back to sleep. So far the hotel where I'm staying for the night has been fantastic, l love the look of the pool and the beer in the tavern was nice ...

    How do you describe a
different country? It's completely new. Not a new state. Not a new place to
eat. It is completely new and incomparable, but I will do my best!
Now I know that this is a very short entry. Unfortunately just after my arrival I became quite sick. I didn't have the energy to do anything after the long days of hiking to
post in my blog and it’s a great regret that I have. ...

... museum here about local life. We have a quick walk around there are a few shops selling touristy things, a few tavernas that are open and quite busy with a coach load of students, the church in the centre is very old, but closed. The next stop is back at the coast, we were heading off the peninsular, the road was becoming less winding and the landscape opening up into olive groves, the mountains were behind us now and before long we were at Kato Gatzea a small village in a small ...
