... having to wait in a queue. It was a pretty big plane for such a short flight, but it wasn’t nearly full. We had an Airbus A300 (2-4-2) and we were served a lunch meal and everything without an extra charge. I was very impressed, and Lynne was too until we hit a bit of turbulence. It’s not the worst I’ve been through, but apparently she is quite a nervous flier now, so that didn’t go too well.

Today was our first proper sight seeting day, and our chance to see a bit of the Thai culture and Phuket. We had read about booking drivers before we left so we'd got the name of a recommended one and pre-booked before we left the UK. He picked us up around 9.30am and we started we headed off to see Phuket. Our first stop was Kata Viewpoint where you can see several beaches such as Kata, Karon and Koh Poo Island. ... receipt of a tour she sold of 3000b that morning, clearly ripping the people off and she thought it was really funny. They print the stupidly high prices on all the brochures so they are always able to give you and instant discount -"special price for you"- but I guess some people will happily pay the printed price and they make a killing.
