It is of particular significance to the Catalonians ( inhabitants of this area of Spain) because when Franco asked Mussolini to bomb areas of Spain to wipe out any resistance to his dictatorship, and the Pope did not rise up in horror at these atrocities, the Benedictine monks of Montserrat did. ... Spain and Europe since 2004! This opera house is a classic and our seats were perfect, second level, first row. Although the performance was entirely in Spanish it still was riveting and entertaining. The music and dancing was superb. This was a wonderful way to celebrate our 40th anniversary! Another magical moment in Spain!

We now had a full day and it was time to go back to the hotel and get some rest. We have to pack as tomorrow afternoon we are headed for ...
