Bei ersten Recherchen im Internet zu dieser Idee, lösten sich diese Pläne gleich wieder in Luft auf. Ungläubige, wie wir, haben keinen Zugang zu diesen Pilgerorten. Die saudische Regierung schottet sich aber auch sonst weitestgehend von Besuchern aus der Außenwelt ab. Ein reguläres Touristenvisum kennt man hier gar nicht.

... headed into the water. It was the craziest feeling floating there as you are top heavy in the water and everytime you try to move you just bob and fall over onto your side. I made the mistake of diving under the water to try to remove the mud from my face, and ended up with burning eyes that stung and watered for 5 minutes after until all the salt was washed out. Into the Sea

... some jelly fish and some schools of fish. I love swimming right into the schools and watching them dart away together. Back on the boat I had a traditional dive from the upper deck of the boat into the crystal blue water and then it was time to head back into the shore. Time to put our feet back on land.
