18th October ß 9.30am start on our 6 hour trek , we trekked up an down so many bloody mountains, I thought it would never end and I would never make it!!!!. Apart from the agony of going UP with my sad lungs and down with my broken toe (broke just over 2 weeks ago on the train) so not a great experience, but so very worth it as we trekked through the rice terraces ...

... resulting in mass deaths. I took my time wandering from place to place looking down at the lake and then finally went back to the 4WDs to line up for the return journey which was just as awful as the trip up. So far Changbaishan sucked.

My next stop was Tianchi waterfall which was pretty impressive, but equally crowded. I'm not sure how high it was there, but I actually started feeling super tired on the way up, which surprised me because I had not had any problems ...

... with a huge family. The women in the family kept running over to ply huge piles of snacks on them, which, when they didn't feel like eating them, they tried to fob off on me. With the addition of some sunflower seeds and a plum, my lunch was looking ever so slightly more nutritious.

If you are ever going to spend a lot of time with Chinese people on either a bus or a train, I recommend learning how to eat pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. This sounds dumb, but since ...

... However, I do see many live animals, as well. The farmers like to stare at me and then smile when I wave to them. So funny! Keep thinking of me. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT I AM IN CHINA AND ITS GOVERNMENT IS SPECIAL. THERE ARE SOME THINGS (think 7th day) I CANNOT SEND IN EMAILS AND THAT YOU SHOULD NOT EITHER.
