Also dranbleiben! Am 27.1.2010 gehts los und wir werden euch hoffentlich mit abenteuerlichen und spannenden Geschichten unterhalten - hoffentlich auch alle mit happy end :).

In den letzten zwei Wochen habe ich einiges an neuer Ausrüstung zusammengekauft. Unter anderem ein neues Zelt und warme Winterkleidung.

We were planning to go to Liechtenstein but thought we may as well as it was sort of on our way. It's the worlds 6 smallest country so it would have been rude not to go..haha.

We didn't drive to the main town but to another.. where really there wasn't anything. I did get a photo with the tourist sign though. Had to somehow prove I'd been there!

So yeah, continuing form the last post, we drove through Switzerland, and even made a stop in Liechenstein hahaha... We went to Vaduz, the capital, which is literally a quick right turn outside of Switzerland. We hung out for a bit and checke dout a couple ...

After a week in Basel we jumped on the train to visit my Uncle and Aunt (Heinz and Elsa) in Gossau – a small town in the north east of Switzerland. On the way we spent a few hours in Zurich where we just wandered around the city centre, had lunch and sat by the lake. Heinz and Elsa met us at the train station and walked us back to their place – about 2 minutes away! They took us for a drive up to a place which gives a great view over St Gallen ...

Our third stop of the day was our first in Austria. Now I was entering undiscovered lands! Feldkirch is right on the Switzerland border. The old town centre is surrounded by towers, and a castle sits on a hill above.

Our next stop was St Gallen, home of a beautiful abbey with a medieval library and neighbouring by a charming Old Town. We walked around the abbey exterior before everyone went inside, with the exception of Lincoln and I. I have been here before and know it is a very ornate baroque design inside.

... Marigan had a yummy soup, but my Minestrone and Stefan's tomato soup were gross! I think the top fell off the salt shaker while they were seasoning the pot. We did, however, enjoy a live street-performer string quartet...for a price...felt like I was in Cozumel, and then it was dark and time to head back to the hotel. We saw some amazing shopping on our way back, but everything was closed and I'm beginning to think that my husband paid someone off....

Work has been quite slow lately so since I had nothing better to do today, I took a train to Sargans, Switzerland, and then waited for a bus to Vaduz, Liechtenstein. I missed the bus that left 4 minutes after I arrived. By missed, I mean I couldn't find it until I saw it driving past me. And there are only two or three bus stands in Sargans at the train station, so it was completely due to a lack of intelligence on my part.

We had about ten people from Basel in the end and met another eight people we knew from Zu Reich(Too Rich, only city in the world that has a higher income per person than Basel).
