    ... waiting at the bus stop to go home, and even when we did converse, I found them to be stereotypically snobby. I wish stereotypes weren't true, but sometimes you can't ignore them.

    Anyway, I went back with them to Guangzhou in silence, they weren't interested in sitting near me or talking with me at all. I left the bus without saying goodbye and took the next sleeper train back home at 10:30 p.m. Twenty three hour trip! Wow!

    ... avoir écrit sur mon petit papier en chinois, j'ai pu demander ou était l'hôtel. Il était tout proche mais je ne pense pas que je l'aurais trouvé.
    Le lendemain, j'ai visité les Diaolou. Ils ont été le plus souvent construits par des chinois d'outre-mer et présentent une architecture à mi-chemin entre chinoise et européenne.     ... Mr. Wu thanked us for taking such good care of Lili, and for visiting China with her. He also mentioned that all the children in this orphanage are "disabled" in some way. That is new information that I didn't know previously. We were also served fruit and offered water.
