... you supposed to arrive tomorrow??" Whoops! I forgot what the date was, I forgot that I left Cairo a day early.
I really have no concept of time.
I go in and say goodbye to Merav, for now, and I'm back in the same house, the same kitchen, same surroundings....oh joy!
It's amazing how 5 minutes after I greet someone that I haven't seen in years we go back to normal. It's like I saw them yesterday. We just need to catch up a little bit.

Und hier seht ihr auch gleich, auf was das Ganze hinauslaeuft: Man muss zwar das Land besetzen, hat ...
Ramallah, West Bank and Gaza brisko... confusing for the uninitiated. Meat and dairy cannot mix at restaurants that keep kosher (which is most of them). Fish and eggs are considered neither meat nor dairy. Kevin puts it best in his blog. But there are enough restaurants that don't keep kosher that you can find the occasional pork chop or bacon even, though I don't recall encountering a cheeseburger yet, not that I've looked for one.

... enough and making sure to eat veggies and fruits when I eat. Speaking of packages, Alan sent me one during the first week I was here - it still hasn't arrived. And that was the box with all the clothes I wanted to make sure I had while I was here. Plus, it had the camera cord to the computer, among other things I wanted. So, I haven't been able to upload any pics because I don't have that cord. (here's the part where I had written a huge other paragraph, and somehow just deleted it ...
Be'er Sheva, Israel bekkibyrumsmith... hours leading up to the trip to Petra. 9. 'Petra makes Machu Picchu look like a pile of stones.' quote from New York Times writer - and Skippy's new favorite saying. 10. Our Jordanian tour guide is also divorced (and actively seeking wife # 2) - are we starting to see a pattern? Tel Aviv, Israel domhnall... on like wildfire in a city near you? MALE MODESTY: For some reason, the men in the Mid East feel it is perfectly OK to pee on the side of the road. Now if they would have the decency to go behind a bush or a tree, I might not find that so offensive, but no, they go right out in the open! I realize that much of the terrain is desert, but couldn't they at least open their front and rear doors and go in-between?
Tel Aviv, Israel trockie... down the block. Make clear when you arrive exactly what meals you want, how to get in and out, and where to go for other munchies and such. Johnny has to drive a cab now, so arrange transport with him. And ask Claire whether she's been able to fix the bathroom sink, which took hours to drain. The breakfast, which you'll eat with her family, is typically Palestinian and tasty. I gave them 150 NIS for the room and breakfast, though they asked for less.
Bethlehem, Palestinian Territory wmjohnstone... to the real story, we finally arrive to our apartments, or should I say the absorption center, at about 6:45, we were way late. Let me first go over the plans for tonight. We are suppose to be joining some of our fellow Section 3 friends in taking a bus trip up to Tsvat, the old religious city of Israel located way in the North. There, from around the times of 12-6 in the morning we'd be walking around the city and see the religious things going on (between the holidays of Rosh ...
