... other boats on sunset patrol and we could see cars and people lined up on the shore ready to take in the famous Oia sunset and a very pretty sight it was. Well worth the trip. Eventually we arrived back at the old port and decided that there was a very good reason for feeling just a touch weary, too weary to walk back up, so it was cable car all the way! A big big day! Sunset, dinner and wondering the streets of Oia that night, gorgeous wee town, white buildings with blue doors ...

Marty eventually arrived late at night, we caught up for a while and made plans for the next day.

    Saturday 2nd August

Our first day in Santorini started with an early morning swim, chill by the pool and slight confusion with brekky. So brekky was included in our room, I went and asked for brekky and told the lady that we would sit outside at the table. Well the day beds beside the pool looked a lot more comfortable ...

... be. I yelled out 'that's the street!'but we had already gone past it. Mum quickly found somewhere to do a u-turn and we finally after all that drama found the car park where we needed to return the car to.

It was 3:00 by the time we returned the car so we now had no time to go shopping. We walked down the donkey trail back to the port and past all the donkeys. The last tender boat was waiting for us and we quickly hopped on. It was a bit of a crazy day but still a fun ...
