... the local government at the time to indulge his lifestyle. We decided to stick to the main by of town and not venture into King Edward's lifestyle though. Later in the day we went to go see a sandcastle competition in Krk, the largest town and also the name of the island. There were other walks for 5-6 hours but we were pressed for time so we decided to do the 2-3 hour one. Knowing no more than this we changed into walking shoes, grabbed some lunch and some bottles of water and headed off. The forest was ...

We got our rental car and headed to Pula to see the coliseum. We got there in the early afternoon, parked right outside, walked 30 seconds to the ticket office (where there was no line), paid about 5 bucks per ticket and for the next hour and a half we became Russell Crowe in the movie 'Gladiator'. There was an obvious answer to Maximus's question, "are you not entertained?", we certainly were!! Chris assured me that if I ever go to Rome that I can cross ...
