... hard and moving on was not disappointing.
From here we traveled south on State Rt. 177, “Flint Hills National Scenic Byway” to the “Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve”, it was cold and windy, but we enjoyed the visit,
even-though the farm house and barn were closed for renovation. In this part of

September 20th & 21st was spent in Russell, KS, hometown of my mother's side of my family. I was delightlfully surprised to realize he had every step of Google Maps memorized and we settled into a mostly comfortable 60mph and happily let the crowds roar past. Road music from our CDs provided the background, and we happily sang our way up the road.

    Dinner was a buffet, withint a ...

... him sharing them with me. And not that you'd be too surprised from the last couple of days, but it turned out to be another day of playing with Danny and Omm. I've grown fond of Danny in the short space of time that we've been here and I shall miss him when we move on in two days time. This evening he turned around and said that he would buy me a bedroom so that I could stay here ...
