... could take your photograph. At first we found it strange and we would stand stiffly whilst being photographed. Later on, we relaxed and started putting our arms around people etc. The only time it bothered us was when we were at ancient sites. We always like to find a quiet corner and sit and take in our surrounds. We have always done this and we were doing this at Borobudur and Candi Sukuh and both times we were asked to be photographed. It did put an end to our quiet moment ...

... with children and didn't make the world heritage "must see" sights of South East Asia. I get some Minion shots even though it's two million degrees in there and the last thing I want is to draw attention to us with all the kids deseperately wanting their picture taken with strange white folk. ... to be truly blessed with every opportunity I've been afforded. I take advantage with as many as I possibly can, even if I feel like I pass up too many... I'm just over eager and I can't do everything I want. I understand that I will not be able to go everywhere and see and do everything, but it's still a hard idea to come to terms with.

The things that I have to take with me when I leave this unbelievable archipelago are many... and will be held very close to my heart ...

... the people are Muslim. Next stop the Catholic Church opposite (apparently the mosque was designed by a catholic!) many less people inside, a few nuns and a few tourists. Very different from the last Catholic Churches I went into in Kerala. Not so many vivid carvings of Jesus on the cross with blood everywhere. Simple, blue and whit wood work, simple images that aren't too scary. Back to the hotel via the shop at the train ...

Woke up and headed out to the swells by 9am - high tide was 10 which we were told was the best time to hit the soup. We hired boards for 4 hours at first I struggled but revised a bit of the technical side of the pop up and was standing up in no time.
