      It was time to start the journey home so we headed across to the airport and checked in before heading to the virgin lounge. We grabbed some dinner and drinks, wrote up the blog and soon enough it was time to board. With the mixture of eating, film watching and sleeping, the 13 hours passed quick enough and we were soon landing in LHR.

      ... separately have both esconced themselves in the wrong seats so there is a great deal of huffing and puffing before everyone gets sorted out.

      we pull back from the stand on time but after a few metres we stop and nothing happens. Eventually the pilot come on and says there is a problem. The tarmac is hot and soft and the plane's wheels have sunk in a bit. He does not have the power to get out of the rut so the tractor will need ...

      bus ride back was coach style. so many people. i'd make a crack about people/jobs but it was all retirees. except the skinny minny who sat next to me. despite making sure I was on my side only (sometimes the man shoulders cross the invisible line) she kept smacking me with her elbows while texting. my favourite moment was when she sneezed on me.       ... been as ok as I am over here if I couldn’t call my dad if my card had buggered

      ... Castle, taking a few pictures at dusk, and then on to Aberdeen. Aberdeen was cold, rainy, and windy. Wind like I've never seen as sustained winds. Every hotel we stopped at was sold out. We left Aberdeen and drove south to Inverbervie, where there were two hotels and one inn. Except none of them have sleeping accommodations - not sold out, just don't rent rooms at all. Great.
