Alarm set for 2.30am so it was early to bed. Woke up quite fresh and all ready for our holidays. Flight left Aberdeen on time and was fairly smooth, arrived at Amsterdam to find our flight out was delayed by 2hrs, 35 mins!! :-( There was nothing else for it, off to the business lounge for a refreshment! Its a long 13 hour flight and the last thing you need after that is Terminal 5. Ponce again we get lost and end up out in the domestic terminal.

Once we arrived to the hotel it was so great to see more of our family! It’s hard being ...

... with two complimentary drinks each, a dining room, comfortable seating (Lyndall is on a big sofa) and no riff raff from cheap cabins and seats. Just had some complimentary soft drinks, tea and coffee coming soon! Went up on deck for our departure, Lyndall didn't come, just as well, as there was a flight of steep open steps. Got some pictures coming out of the harbour, it really is busy. Hopefully the trip will be reasonably smooth. We had quite a big lunch followed by a big ...

      ... fire-breathing from underneath.

      DON'T. LOOK. UP.

Within the first two breathers, I had paraffin on my eyelash. Now, you would think I would just stay still.

      I blinked.

Following that, I got paraffin in my eye, tried to wash it out and ended my night having to get my eye un-chemical-ised by the paramedic on stand-by.

      Get this. I wasn't ...
