Overton, England, United Kingdom chiangmaigreg... done up like a vampire as well. Quite disconcerting - and it was most unsettling. The taxi driver said the place really goes crazy at Halloween and he hates it. He wasn't looking forward to the night ahead at all. Poor thing. Houses, shops, pubs, along the streets, all displayed symbols of death and horror. I don't think I've ever seen such a display before. We were glad to leave Wigan and the feeling of desperation we sensed.<br>

He laughed - but it was worthwhile not having extra luggage to carry for the rest of our trip. After that I set off to see the "Beatles Story" which is on Albert Dock and was an extremely well presented display of all the life and times of the Beatles. I would have liked more time ...

Ive learned that as long as you have a basic idea, you can throw a lot of random stuff together and it will always taste good. 24 March Emily's parents came into England today via Manchester airport and emily went to hang out with them. I took this alone time to relax and get myself organized. It was a very mellow day ...

Liverpool, United Kingdom richandbonnie... for Vickie's parents to come home to meet us. Despite the wonderful hospitality in Liverpool, it was time to move on, and after a few tears we headed off the the Peak District between Manchester and Sheffield. We found a town called Bakewell, which is true English countryside, from the stone fences, to the stone houses, to the multitude of trout in the river, it was picturesq in every sense. Time was against us though, and we headed to Cambridge via the Fens district in the east ...
