Lets just say our wonderful airplane experience of nearly pure bliss was followed by a nearly pure meltdown mode with the kids. It was half funny, and half ... not. All four of us turned in to zombies for the first half of the day as we tried to fight off the jetlag bummer. We didn't realsie when we booked, but it is the Dublin Marathon today. Makes for hell with the traffic and getting around. We went to the airport bus stop (going to collect the car) and found that even though the street wasn't closed, they were not picking up here today. So once again walking with our bags, though dublin to the next stop they said they were picking up at. Up early and off to see the sights. We started with a walk around Trinity College, nice place - we were hoping to see the book of Kells, but it turns out that in the winter season it is only open for 2 hours every day, and that was at midday (it was 9am).
