Historical Traveler Reviews of Jurys Boston
Super Property

Great property, wonderful location and walk to everything. Well done will visit again
Almost perfect, except for the constant door slamming
from craiginnycNewYork_NY
When I checked into my room, I decided it was my new favorite hotel in Boston (I travel there very frequently). Four Seasons luxury at a more accessible price. The oversized feather pillows and cushy down comforter were heavenly. The room had some nice amenities like a generously sized cotton robe. A coffee maker would have been nice. But this was all marred by a major annoyance -- constant door slamming from the other rooms on my floor. The spring mechanisms in the doors are so powerful that if a guest lets the spring close the door, it emits a slam that made me jump out of my skin. And if the room was close to mine, I could feel the vibration in the floor and the headboard of the bed. This went on from early in the morning until the wee hours of the night. I realize a hotel can't control the considerateness of its guests, but I saw the housekeeping staff doing the same thing. What a shame -- a nearly perfect hotel, but they won't be getting any repeat business from me.
There were also problems with one of the elevators, which was down a couple of times during my 5-day stay. Even so, 2 elevators seem woefully inadequate for a 200-room hotel.
Great stay!

It was my 3rd booked hotel after cancelling at the Colonnade and the Sheraton. I am really picky! Thankful that I did it! We really enjoyed the hotel and all of it's immenities. The room was lovely and the location great to the commons. Quiet too. I did smell stale smoke from the 2nd floor smokers but that is typical on the east coast and it was a fair trade considering the wonderful service and environment. The best martini I have ever had in the bar "Cuffs." Will stay again and also in other locations.
Jurys is a must-stay!

My husband and I stayed here for one night in August and can't wait to go back again! The hotel is brand new, rooms are luxurious (down comforter and pillows) and immaculate (bathrooms are marble with terrycloth robes and a towel warmer. Nice!) We had a delicious late lunch at Cuffs Irish bar (the gas fireplace took off the chill from the rainstorm we walked through!) Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here over and over again. What a treat!

My family and stayed at Jury's for a few days in August on our way to Martha's Vineyard. We chose it because of the unique bulding (the old police headquarters) and we were thrilled we did. The location is perfect as is the service and the rooms. For a city hotel the room is standard size (that means on the small side) but is so beautifully decorated that you never feel boxed in. The bedding is beautiful, the furniture tasteful and the bathrooms luxurious. The staff was incredibly attentive and the bar first rate. My children enjoyed a piece of cake offered to them by the waitstaff in the afternoon and a morning cup of coffee was offered to me gratis when I asked for jogging directions (looking bleary-eyed). I must say my husband was pleased as well because I am a notorious room-changer. Not this time. I say hurry because I'm sure this gem will become quite popular.

I visited Boston July 31 to August 3 and had a wonderful stay at Jurys. The room was beautifully decorated and included nice touches such as bath robes, dual head shower, CD player, and oversized mirror. And the bed and linens were very comfortable. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The lobby area had complimentary pastries and drinks. The business center had two terminals for internet connections. The location in Back Bay was great - one block to Newbury Street, two blocks to the Public Garden and the T, around the corner from the Hard Rock Cafe, excellent restaurants in walking distance. The hotel is in the former City of Boston police station and I loved the history of the building. Would definitely stay there again on future visits to Boston.
Could not have been any better...

I went down to Boston from the 19th to the 24th Of July for 5 nights and stayed at the wonderful Jurys Hotel, located in the prime Back Bay Area. The hotel had just opened about 2 weeks ago...it was amazing. The room was gorgeous: nice bed, large 27" Panasonic TV, etc... and the bathroom was quite large with nice amenities (my girlfriend loved the free Aveda products). I had never been to Boston before but when I return I will 100% stay at the Jurys. The staff was really nice and extremely helpful. The night concierge recommended 3 unbelievable restaurants to us and really knew a lot about the city. All in all, if you are heading to Boston and don't mind spending a couple of bucks, stay at the Jurys!!!
It would be a crime to stay anywhere else!

My company suggested I stay at Jurys on a recent trip to Boston. What a surprise. For an Irish Hotel, I was picturing shamrocks and Leprechauns. What I got was a funky, upscale, fantastic experience. The colors and textures they used throughout the hotel were quite impressive. Love the staircase! My bed was very comfortable and loved the mattress and sheets. Stanhope Grill was great and I was glad they have outdoor seating. Would definitely go back again as I find other hotels in the Back Bay either really too big or quite stuffy. It's located in the old Police Station. Definitely a crime to stay anywhere else!
Beautiful New Jurys Hotel

Very impressed with this new hotel. Loved the decor - rooms were spacious and very clean. One of the best surprises was bathroom filled with Aveda products and comfy white robes. Would go back in a minute! Walking distance to everything in Boston.
Brand new and trying to be the best

We spent 3 nights at Jury's beginning on the 4th of July, they had just opened on the 2nd. Only 1/3 of the hotel was functioning, there are a few kinks being worked out, but great things are happening. The location is unbeatable. Near shopping, metro, restaurants, we walked nearly everywhere. Safe, clean neighborhood just off the Park, and bordering Back Bay. The staff was so attentive, caring and friendly. The rooms are charming, soothing and the maid staff top notch. Try to get an upper level room, as the street noise is a factor, even with their new windows. Charming, Irish service, and their restaurant menu looks fantastic. And it is just plain neat staying in the old Police Station!
