... to a different room in the hostel but I still got the top bunk (yay!). After that we walked up the the porcelain palace, which as the name suggest was full of porcelain art. At the bottom of the staircase is had a kind of good luck pit for throwing money into. When you take a photo of the pit from the top, it looks like the sun is shining.

After the palace we made our way through the town to try get a bird's eye view of the city from ...

I joined the flying insects at dusk (& subsequently the bats) and a couple of hundred other people circling TaiFeng Park tonight.

I am living, for a few weeks, near the park. It is a great asset to the city with its open grassy areas – popular for flying kites – lakes, trees and sculptures. As the seasons change, so does the state of the vegetation in the park, as does the range of ...

day started bright and early in the morning in Beijing as we woke

    A Great Day, thanks G.

Today we gave our group presentation on ancient artwork in the Qin dynasty, which is one of the most eventful of the Chinese dynasties. We did our presentation on the construction of The Great Wall and the Terra Cotta Army. This was a really interesting project and it taught me a lot about a really significant time in China's history. After lunch, which I am starting to get really sick of because we eat the same thing everyday, we had our ...
