... silver coins took place as well as home to the royal family. It was named the Italian court because the king brought over Italians to start the first mints. We were unable to go into the silver.mine which was a huge disappointment.

We decided tackling the castle complex would be a two day exercise. The castle has is origins from Slavic fortifications from the 10th century and has evolved over numerous regimes. It had been the seat of power for the Holy Roman Empire for a considerable period as well as Bohemia and the Czech nation and all it's permutations over the last millennium. Today we did the considerable walk up to the castle, made more arduous by my dodgy directions. Well take the tram tomorrow. ...

We checked out of our hostel which we were glad to be done with and headed out. We were concerned cause all of our train tickets were in German and we couldn't really read them :/ ... We see all these people getting a ticket for the metro line to the main train station and we noticed that we didn't actually need to purchase one so we risked it cause the line was crazy long.
