... the Virgin arrivals lounge for our second breakfast of the day and Mandy got a quick nail treatment, we then headed over to Terminal 2 where our last flight of the holiday was leaving from. ... in the day and has many interesting things to see as you go. For instance, the eighty-year old retired judge who hikes around the mountain shirtless (in weather that had everyone else in long sleeves) all day, everyday singing as loud as he possibly can (which is impressively loud) and picking up garbage on the hiking trails. The singing man (whose name we never actually learned) serenaded our trip down the mountain with his rendition of Jingle Bells, which was a great way to end our day.

So today we had a choice of an optional excursion with the HESS gang to an old Spanish fort, or we could do our own thing. Alexandra already had a sizable list of things she wanted to do in Taipei, and even I had managed to come up with a couple of ideas! So we decided to do our own thing.

... but I had to wait till all the veges wilted first. An absolutely delicious meal. We had a sukiyaki lunch with Shigeki on our second day in Tokyo. This Taiwanese version tastes similar to the Japanese version so the Taiwanese have learnt well. Shigeki is planning to take us to a shabu shabu restaurant when we get back to Tokyo after this trip.
