... a kind person who offered to lead us to the location, just outside of town. We found our hostess to be an outgoing single parent renting rooms to a houseful of painters working on a new school. Up early and catch the bus into the city, then trek up to Edinburgh castle, Very impressive which is just as well as it was a bloody hard slog up the hill to get there!! We do a half hour tour with a castle guide which give you the history overview and showed you where things were, We then spent a couple of hours wandering and exploring the castle, visiting the crown jewels and different parts of the castle, We make our way back ...

They walked in a fancy ceremonial way - raising their legs, clicking their heels, clacking their guns, etc. The sales people told us to rush to the 4th floor to view the ceremony for change of the guards. We followed the crowds and rushed up the stairs, and witnessed the whole ceremony. Somehow it looked to me quite funny :-)

... very hot and humid. Apparently after a month in Korea I have gotten unused to the heat and humidity, so have to get used to it all over again. We did still go out every day to have a look around. We walked up over 500 steps one day to get to Elephant mountain lookout. It was a great view of the city, but there were thousands of mosquitoes which came out in the late afternoon, spoiling my plan to stay till after dark to see the city lights from there.
