... acting crew , they sang a few numbers but it was mostly dialogue , some funny bits but got a bit long winded in parts so we left early.
back to the cottages for burgers for T and a couple of reds, Eleanor got an invite to go to the big house for a painting activity and ended up staying for the night.
Day was much colder and snow was anticipated that night but didn't eventuate. ...

... was another story. They had a bakery - all cooked on site, a gorgeous gift shop, a well decorated interior with padded booths, and a side for the truckies the same but having phone connections that they could use.
The full menu of anything from sandwiches to full plates of freshly on site cooked turkey and veg etc. We all had the turkey open burger - fast friendly efficient staff and spotlessly clean washrooms.
Finished lunch on our way ...

... me out. The lady at the desk didn't speak much English (They speak French as their first language in this part of Canada) and after much gesticulating and pointing at my eyeballs I got my point across. In the end I had to phone Specsavers in Berwick and get them to email my prescription to the Optician in Montreal. Only then would they give me some lenses. Hallelujah! I can see again! There is a god after all! With my high definition eyeballs we left Montreal and ...

After a couple of days catching up with chores we take a drive through another area of Renfrew County. We travel first past Golden Lake again and then to Killaloe. This is a relaxed little town and a couple of shops reflect it's past identity of being a Hippy town. It has a lovely Park, named Killaloe Station Park. These towns were once railway towns and the railway has been replaced with this lovely green area. ...
