... plus years old for the most part. It took us a moment to work out why this was so. It's not just the cleanliness of the buildings and streets, though this helps of course, it's because Urbino sits on a hill, and is alternately washed by the rain (and snow) and polished by the bright summer sun. ... to do it all justice.

The atmosphere was great...it was just like sitting down to eat at the family table, everyone dipping in and out of bowls of the same foods, all being served at the same time, and chatting and laughing. The staff had everything running like clockwork and were so friendly. The desserts were brought at 11.30 and although they were absolutely delicious Michael had the opportunity to finish Joys ice cream as ...

Another Micro Country - San Marino

... enjoying stunning views and absurdly cheap wine. After a couple of hours, we had no real choice but to find the bus stop and return to the hotel where we had the best meal of the holiday. Our only real mistake was that we should have taken the bike up to the town so we could come back when we were ready. We went to bed with another country crossed off the list and another micro-state to visit the next day.
