The trip I thought would be warmer than it was...
I thought 50F or 15C was a lot warmer than it was. The sun in Barcelona was warm, and the weather was definitely warmer than the UK, but coats were assuredly needed.
We landed nice and early on Thursday. Flight was only 2 hours, and we were lucky enough to get seats next to each other.
We made a somewhat foolish decision to NOT read the …

Barcelona Love Barcelona but had to leave...walked past little kid riding on his dad's shoulders who said, rather officiously, 'No more coffee. No more alcohol.' Well we couldn't possibly stay in Barcelona with such judging eyes...and we weren't about to take the advice of a five year old. Pete (& ...

... car and a gondola to get up there. Ange and I ******* our pants a bit on the gondola from the height (me probably a little more than her) but the views where incredible. After sufficiently sweating from fear on the gondola, we finally arrived at the top to be greeted by our first castle site! The castle was ammazing, my favorite site yet I think. Decent sized rooms. Clean. The shower sliding door was a little delicate, but with a little care, they shut and opened ok. It was a little noisy to sleep, as the vent about the balcony window couldn't be closed. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were available, but we chose to eat out; so I can't rate the food.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
