This was our final day here in the old port. Well it was meant to be. We was going to move closer to the centre ready for our train to Hong Kong. But even though he only had 1 bed Rick said we could stop here for an extra 2 nights if needed as long as we were happy to share a bed. We were happy with that as we liked the area and would save 30 gbp by staying here. ...

... a beautiful city surrounded by green mountains and the ocean. It has the same environmental challenges all of the cities seem to have: perpetual smog. It is rare to see the sun and when you do, you see a yellow ball through the smog. Guangzhou, Hefei and Shenzhen are all horrible that way. (Nanjing not so much.) Lots of wealth in that city. Amazing architecture. Skyscrapers and luxury apartment buildings. All the high end department stores: Gucci, Cartier, Dolce and Gabana, ...
