A minibus pulled up after ages and people started getting in but there wasn't room for us. We ended up waiting at least 2 hours which was such rubbish as they must have messed up the numbers. We eventually got a bus and this took us to Trat. From here we got ushered on to a tuktuk owned by a moody looking guy. He made us ...

... at you etc! The ferry finally set off at 10:30 and took almost an hour to get to the other side (Trat) where we would meet our big double decker air conditioned bus. We exchanged out ticket at the station and were given a sticker (depending on your destination) to let the bus driver know you were meant to be on that bus. At 12pm we loaded our bags onto the bus and we set off for Bangkok. After spending 4 hours on the coach, mainly reading and sleeping, we had a pitstop along ...

... mangrove and was aptly named 'Mangrove Bungalows'. The accommodation was basic to say the least - we're quickly getting used to living the backpacker lifestyle. The best way to get around the island was by moped, so we hired one for the day - mum(s) and dad(s) we didn't go over 30mph and only Ross drove, so we were perfectly safe! This gave us the opportunity to visit lots of deserted beaches and the small fishing village of Ban Ao Yai, at the very south of the ...
