Postfach 70 Grindelwald, Bernese Oberland, Swiss Alps, Switzerland, 3818, 033-854-41-41
At the end of February, my friend, Kim came out to visit. We did the touristy thing in Prague and we also journeyed to Berlin (even though I had just been there). After returning from Berlin, we spent a few days relaxing in Prague and then it was off to Switzerland for a ski trip. We stayed in a quaint little village called Grindelwald, which is about an eight hour drive from Prague. Grindelwald is a great little village with beautiful scenery of the Alps and great shopping. There were tons o...

Ausserbinn, Switzerland lesterenanne... The Hills Are Alive". You wouldn't fret looking like an idiot, because only the cows would be watching. That's the main industry at Gimmelwald, farming cows. The town is VERY tiny. Their park was about 10'x8' with 2 opposing benches. I agree with Steve that it's worth a quick visit, but don't know about that whole "If Heaven Isn't What It's Cracked Up To Be..." thing. I can think of other places I'd prefer to spend eternity as about one ...
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland trockie... On Thursday I went begging for interviews. I went to Terre des Hommes (an organization that advocates for children's rights) and was able to secure one for Friday after being passed from person to person, trying to find someone who spoke english and worked on education. Begging for inteviews is a big deal for me, if you have ever been shopping with me you probably understand my fear of talking to strangers and asking for things. I also went to ...
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland chelseyineurope... did a small but nice hike in the mountains the next day. It’s crazy how you lose your hiking skills really quickly. I felt like i was going to fall over every step I took. All over the valley, we could see para-sailers in the sky, it would have been awesome to try except it the damage was at least $170 each... bummer.

http://picasaweb.google. com/lh/photo/_RXGGfa-cjNcaDADRk_4xA?aut hkey=Gv1sRgCMTOwqr-zZGObA&feat=dire ctlink
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland sofenjon... going duck-footed is definitely the easiest position for a newbie but can later get uncomfortable when dealing with turns as it pulls your knees in abnormal ways. A word of advice for tuition is to get down there about 9am, any later and you might be out of luck we scraped through with charm, charisma and a group of eight people willing to pay money for instruction, we paid for the tuition at the ...
Grindelwald, Swiss Alps, Switzerland magintz... the icy hill and busting my butt. I have a very large bruise on my left calf where apparently (didn't know it at the time) my calf hit my right shoe when I went down. Minus 13 degrees celsius ... did I mention that? I think this post is going to go in before that one, so you may be confused right now ... don't worry, so am I! All you really need to know is: I now have another expense hobby to pursue. Skiing rocks!
Grindelwald, Switzerland fyregirl... the time when i had the moose shot in canada, i was too excited/suprised and didnt hit record. I suck but Erin managed to get a picture of the guy taking off so we posted it for you to check out. Good job Erin! The other story worth mention is that I did manage to find a Buckeye staying at the Pension. He graduated in 2002, so we had a few beers at the Hostel and talked smack about Cooper, Clarett, and the national title team. Go Bucks!
Gimmelwald, Switzerland mikeanderin... arrives to which I answer him whilst looking at the huge train time notice board that is to the right of us. Then we get chatting and board the train. Just my luck I can't get rid of the fellow, and we end up departing the train together, now taking into account I have my mobile on me, my brand new digital camera, plus passport, driving licence and Swiss work permit, I continue to scan the train platform for an accomplice. However, the guy turns out to be ...
Grindelwald, Switzerland sheffster... which helped us know what might be waiting around the corner. Every building is so Swiss -- firewood stacked so neatly it's nearly pathological. Ian joined us, and we rode to the lake. By now, the sun was out. We watched the swam chase ducks, the wind-surfers, people sailing on the lake. Watched the French Open upon our return, listening to ...
