      ... the Mendenhall Glacier. This was the only port where we didn't have a prearranged excursion. Nothing really interested us except for things that cost more than we wanted to pay. Tracy had been to Juneau in the past and said it was easy to get around. She was correct.       ... because surprisingly we were the only ones out there for quite awhile. We didn't see any bear but we did find the answer to the age old question.....Does a wild bear poop in the woods? Yes, he does, and I have the proof! Stan and Nick said the falls were awesome and Stan picked up a stone to give to Taylor.       ... the background. We drove up to Mendenhall Glacier and honestly, I was a little disappointed in the size of it. I was expecting huge. There were chunks of ice floating in the lake in front of the Glacier and it was a gorgeous blue. There was a trail that took you within 200 yards of the face of the glacier, but there was no way I could navigate that .
