Will flew back to the UK today for Mrs Wood's funeral (he sadly lost Mrs Woods (his "third" grandmother) and Gloria, his friend Aidan's mother over Easter weekend).

It was a gorgeous day. I have been in Nanjing at the beginning of the week supporting an English teacher in Jinling, and then went to Hangzhou on Thursday to support an English teacher in Hangzhou No 14, Stephen Gardner's centre.

    This morning I caught ...

Friday, Steve and I attended cultural training organized through Ford. I was expecting a small group of men and women, but instead, there was Steve and I, and 3 Brazilian men (workmates), and that was it! Yesterday was Sports Day for Years 1-5. Due to lack of facilities at the current school, the teachers bussed the kids to a sports stadium. I was told it was close to the school, so got a bit worried when we still hadn't arrived after 30 minutes. Luckily, I had my driver speak to my friend’s driver (hahaha), we got it sorted, and I made it to the grounds (many didn’t). The grounds were pretty spectacular, but the weather was bizarre. ...

... lounge room. I have not included photos of the basement yet. I will do so, once it is cleaned and furnished. The basement contains a guest room, a study, 2 living areas and a second guest room (storeroom for landlord’s unwanted furniture). It is tiled (floor and walls to ceiling), dark and cold. There is heating, but I think I’ll tackle this area when our ship freight arrives.

Yesterday, the kids caught the bus to school. They have been ...
