It seems we're having an Indian Summer here in China. After temperatures falling to 17 at night and low 20s in the day, this week we’re back up to a low of 24 and high 20s with humidity in the day. I know PEI had its second snow storm this week and the first Storm Day of the year. We listen to Ocean 100 radio station every day and heard the school closure announcement Thursday morning – Tim said a few choice words ...

The registration was well organized but hardly anything for sale. There was 1 booth that was selling gels. Tim was thankful for that! Last night we walked through the Temple Night Market and the Ladies Market – both neat places. Today we met a teacher from ...

... heating. More tales to come, I’m sure. This morning 6 of us hired a van and drove to the mainland border to shop at the Lo Wu Shopping Centre. Shenzhen is a free trade special economic zone so lots of shopping with many brand names. You do need to bargain and the salespeople can be quite assertive and in your face. It was a first time situation for one of the teachers and her teenage daughter so they were quite overwhelmed. I’m fairly comfortable with the ...

... for the kids. Tim ate the left over chocolate anyway! Parents could bring in their pre-school toddlers and the school staff brought in their little ones, and were they cute! The girls costumes were beautiful and the kids are so petite that they all adorable. Many little Spidermen for the boys.

Tim went for a long run this morning, 17 miles. I don’t know how he does it in this heat – it does take a toll on him. On my morning walk, ...
