This helped me be okay with my lack of sleep for the most part. They served 3 meals to us; 2 hot and 1 cold. The hot were mediocre but the cold was a terrible sandwich that dried out my mouth, made me thirsty, and made my stomach hurt. Didn't manage to sleep much. Watched Saving Mr. Banks and Bend it like Beckham. Broke my travel pillow on the flight from Beijing to Hong Kong and split all the tiny polystyrene balls everywhere - but I was more ...

... like India, I think I was able to cope with it better than my parents after having experienced India! Despite the sandstorms and fog of the previous week for our few days in Beijing we had beautiful blue skies, though much colder than what I had been experiencing in India at just 5 degrees! The highlight has to be the trip to the Great Wall. Mum and I went up on a chair lift and had nearly 3 hours walking along the wall in beautiful sunshine with very few other ...
