... no preschool teacher. They hardly understand Chinese, so how can I get them to understand me? The first lesson with them was kind of funny though. They showed absolutely zero response. That has never happened to me before. Today we tried again and it went a little better. The Chinese teachers wanted them to sit on their chairs in front of the blackboard again, which was an absolute drama yesterday. So this time I made them site around their table instead. ...

The thing about living in Xinyu that I find most challenging is the lack of people to talk to. They keep telling me that there will be more Chinese English teachers arriving. I hope that is true. But so far for my situation at the moment.
