Today was my last day on the projects in Limuru, terrible sad but it was a great day. I went to a school where myself and a few other volunteers along with 30 children ranging in age from 3-10 were. Things have been going well and since I last posted I have been working with the kids intensely at the orphanage. We are trying to fit in as many sessions for a group of 10 trauma victim children that I mentioned earlier and its tricky seeing each child for the first time and then having follow up times with children I have already seen to continue. ... and pottery co-operative that supports 300 single mothers. Glenda did well there but as the picture shows, there was almost too much choice. Next was the Karen Blixen museum which is in the house she lived in and was used to film Out of Africa. The grounds were very pretty - and there were some coffee plants as that is what Karen and her first husband introduced to the area in 1914ish. We also decided to wander around to any unseen areas of the hospital we hadn't worked, just so we knew we'd covered all departments. Over the past three weeks we've gotten really comfortable in a few departments and haven't ventured out much.
