We spent 3hrs at the park before heading back to the hotel, as we got into the hotel we found a cake in our room wishing Kate happy birthday. A nice surprise to finish off the day.
Tomorrow we fly to south Africa, another 8 hrs on the plane. Its alot cooler in south Africa then here though so will give my shoulders some time to recover. There a little red after two days in the sun.
... Syrian, Moroccan and Lebanese wares such as handmade oils and perfume, carpets, chocolates, sweets and jewellery as well as a gentlemen's salon and an authentic Arab coffee house. A lot cheaper than the luxury shops upstairs, we purchased some gold leaf expresso coffee cups for 10DHm - approx £1.50 - we bought four cups and saucers and they wrapped up spare saucers to go with it which was a really kind gesture. (I get the feeling we were their only customers ...
Dubai is officially mental, everything is bigger, better, brighter and more shiny than everywhere else. Headed to the miracle gardens first, I can see mam's handbag stuffed full of clippings. Then to the old town, visited another Heritage Village (we are dab hands at our UA e heritage now) checked out the pearl divvying equipment, boats and palm houses. Learnt that dates grow on palms and are ...
... with some mini sausages, grilled tomato, and mushrooms, After a smooth landing and easy collection of our luggage we were taken to the Sheraton Deira hotel. A quick tour of the hotel was all Jess and Amelia needed to jump into their swimmers and be poolside for most of the day while I rested as the weather was extremely hot. At around 5.30 we went to by far the largest and busiest Dubai Mall which was swarming with people. We ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Jumeira Rotana Dubai
Very pleased with our stay in the Jumeira Rotana. All the staff and facilities were top class. Don't stay there however if you want views of Dubai, as our room had only a view of the apartments next door. The reception area is very nice with free wireless broadband available for guests (which is where this review is being written!).
We stayed here for 3 nights as a stopover in Dubai after a Safari in Kenya. The hotel room was very spacious and clean with good facilities. The rooftop pool area was very nice and there is a Gym for those inclined. They do airport pick ups but a taxi is probably a bit cheaper.
Wow!
This place really is fantastic for location to everything you would want to do. Its 5 mins from the beach and the hotel provide transport there and back, there is a charge for using a private beach which is acceptable as you have all the ammenities there, you would not want to use the public beaches in Dubai believe me.
Nice quiet hotel
This is a really nice hotel, very quiet. Friendy staff always willing to please. Not near the beach so a taxi ride would be needed to get you there. Situated just off a lively street in what looks like a nice area. The street is full of KFC and McD type of places and is as lively as any on a Friday night yet the Hotel is nicely insulated from the street life.
Not much to do at the Hotel and it does not compare with the facilities on offer at the multitude of 5 star hotels in Dubai, but this place deserves its 4 star rating. It has two restaurants which seem to be good. We did not have time to try them ourselfs. While the address is Jumeira it is not on the beach but is nearer to it than any in Diera or Burj Dubai.
I have just recently returned from staying two weeks at this hotel, and I think this hotel is the best 4 star hotel in Dubai.
Wow! What a hotel!!
I stayed with my husband for a week, and I must say for a 4 star hotel it was amazing! Everything was super clean, the staff was always smiling and ready to help you in any way they can. They will organize whatever you want, give you all the information you need. The rooms were big and spotless. The pool is on the roof and very nice. Room service is great! Nothing bad to say about this hotel, if you are in Dubai, this is the hotel to go to!
This is a fabulous "all inclusive" restaurant that is open 4 nights a week with different themes. Myself and friends have eaten there many times in the 3 years I've lived in Dubai and our favourite is Wednesday which is a mixture of chinese and thai food. Where else in Dubai can you eat and drink as much as you want for DHS95 (£15). Go for it!
I didn't stay at this hotel as a guest but I did visit to eat in the restaurant on one of their special buffet evenings.
I contracted a severe bout of food poisoning around 8 hours after my visit and as I hadn't eaten anywhere else that day I strongly suspect that the food I ate at this hotel was resposible.
Other than this problem, the hotel looked fine.
