Day 43 At sea, somewhere in the Mediterranean Today is one of only two at-sea days. We get to sleep in and as a bonus, get back the hour we lost when we went to Greece. We are feeling a bit seedy and the sea is an it rougher than closer to the coast, so that doesn't really help much! I have to have a hangover breakfast and am glad I don't have to cook it for myself. Athens
... directly down on to the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Gate. A very efficient underground railway system made it easy to travel around, though we found our hotel was in walking distance of many attractions, shops and restaurants. So we wandered along for a while in the increasingly hot sun, dodging the many skinny cats and dogs ...
Islands and mainland Greece
... mate before heading to Spain for July. So we had about 3 weeks left to see mainland Greece, Albania and Montenegro.
Athens: We arrived late afternoon in Athens and decided to just stay overnight and get an arvo bus to Meteora. We got off the ferry and had to take a 30 min train ride into the centre. The ticket guy at the ferry terminal said nothing except 'hide your wallet', so we arrive at our station, gee whiz, some parts of ...
