... centuries when Nantes was the capital of the Dukes of Brittany. Given the souvenir shops selling all sorts of Breton goods it still seems to hold true that at least in spirit the city has links to the north west region of France that it once controlled.

The next service to Nantes would be, if you happened to want to travel on the 25th September or after the 29th September (but not the 10th November) at around 1355 and after that there is a 1444 (Friday only sevice) followed by a 1641 service. It certainly makes you appreciate the regular pattern services that we have in the UK - miss a train in France and then your day is well and truly scuppered!

We were determined that our guests Deb and Andy would have a good slice of the wonders of our French life, a quiet respite away from their month long exploration of Paris, we have tranquility and cows and vineyards to offer and excellent food from the covered market in Nantes called Tallensac.
