After an exhausting first month in Guangzhou, we needed to escape. The Yangshuo Village Retreat was the place to go. It cost more than our normal youth hostel, but set outside of Yangshuo, in the village of Shi Ban Qiao, the peace and quiet and beauty were worth it.
