Rainer and Carole joined us at the train station as they were also heading off to Berlin by train. We booked an ICE train for a quick ride back to Mannheim, but were given an IC train instead. Before we had even left we had a 10 minute delay and no seating reservation. As we arrived in Göttingen, only halfway into the journey, the train started ...

We then rushed back to the same guy to ensure he would allow us to check it in! Which thankfully he did! Although the glad wrap added on a few grams, he was so lovely to have let this happen for me rather than me having to pay €50 for being ...

... That evening we met with a family friend of Lia's and had drinks and dinner with him and his lovely wife. Seeing as we were already so close to the Reeperbahn, we decided to go for another big night on the town (this time it was Saturday so there were people everywhere). We clubbed in some strange venues with a lot of strange people but still had a good time experiencing the German nightlife. As we had been told to go to the Sunday morning fischmarkt (fish market) we decided to ...
