... enough to drive me to the airport. My friend packed some breads for me to eat on the way. It was a very emotional moment at the airport. I felt like I was leaving family and going away. Thanks Bea for being a great friend. Hard to find such true friends (who will stand there for an hour and even capture my flight taking off?)! I was impressed! And the time I spent at Templin will definitely be etched in my memory ...

... can see from the pictures, we proceeded to get absolutely smashed on sugar, and then headed onwards.

Our last stop was the Maritime Academy on the riverfront, which had gorgeous architectural features. The riverfront itself provided gorgeous views across the city. From there it was only a short walk back to the car, and we headed home to Brollin.

All in all, an exciting day out and definitely a place I'll visit again!

... hours, as he's moving to Costa Rica to be with his American partner. He insisted that I come along so that I can meet everyone, and I thought sure, it's been 28 hours with no sleep, why not add a few more? So after a quick shower I re-dressed and headed out to one of the converted outbuildings for the party.

Another RE train ride took us to Chorin - the site of a ruined monastery which you can walk along a clearly marked trail from the station through some woods to get to. Again, very pretty location where, during the summer, you can attend concerts. Now tell me that a monastery isn't a great place for that :)
