Our week in Innsbruck has come to an end and boy have we had a fantastic time here. We arrived Monday afternoon and flew over the snow-capped mountains to land in the centre of Innsbruck. Looking up at the alps when you're standing on the tar mac will never get old. It's just amazing.

... amazing. Innsbruck has such an amazing change over the last 2 days it was unreal. Over the course of the afternoon the cloud washed in and out over the mountain. We weren't sure of the temperature, but a lad at breakfast had told me it was -15 when we had gone snow boarding on one of the mountains the day before.

Our instructor arrived and we headed off to the very baby area of the slope. He taught us to pizza and French fry, how to turn (apparently) ...

2014 sees me once again celebrate Christmas in the cold and Christmas Eve as the big day. Unlike in Norway where the whole day was celebrated, it appeared that only the night time was a big occasion in Innsbruck with many of the shops still open till lunch time and people crusing around the town.

... fee is €9.50, so I would recommend that you go up there on an evening and view it and save yourself the quite hefty entry fee! Innsbruck Tourist Information offer the Innsbruck Card which offers you entry into all of the city's attractions at €33 for 24 hours, €41 for 48 hours and €47 for 72 hours.
