... fries several times! She put a potato on a spiky thing on a drill and drove it through a cutter. I have attached a video.

The markets are filled with Christmas stuff and lots of other things from sparkly jewelery to wooden toys for both kids and pets. You have to look carefully to pick out the real arts and crafts from the imported junk, it is all there and I am sure it will just be more and more as the markets get bigger.

We drove from Lindau to Innsbruck. It is about a 2 hour drive without stops on mostly 4 lane road and good highways. We already had out Austrian Road sticker. We got that when we went to Lichtenstein.

Driving through the Alps is not like driving through the mountains in western Canada. The Germans and Austrians don't believe in going around a mountain if you can go through it. We figure 1/4 of our trip was in tunnels!

... we quickly lost any views we might have had. So after getting checked in we decided to roam around a little bit but the combination of off-season and an early sunset had left most everything closed and not a lot of opportunity to take in the quaint little square so we settled on an early dinner at the hotel and called it a night.

On the road to Austria via Liechtenstein. Bern tells us that today is brought to us by the letter "S" ....
