... to Jaipur, playing dodgems again.
Arrived at a top Quality hotel which was good with swimming pool on the roof which Marjory used a few times. Opposite 2 fantastic Wedding Parks which were both in the process of hosting ceremonies complete with lots of loud music and fireworks. Suffered international pricing for the 4 course buffet which stretched our budget to £6 per head!

... effort to feel human again, we went to McDonalds for tea. Can't tell you what the Big Mac index is here - they don't have it - but the McChicken index is AU$2.50 which is pretty outstanding, given that a chicken burger, fries and soft drink at the hotel is AU$18.
After three weeks it feels strange having nobody telling you where to be, when to get up, how the day will be structured, and what you can do, but I'm sure that Mandy will rise to the occasion.

... foreigners then locals ... so we took a couple pictures from afar and headed towards the shopping (and fans .. and air conditioning ... it was already getting nice and hot outside).
The auto rickshaw driver tried to cheat Lavi so that was interesting to watch. He tried to get 200 rupees out of her ($4.50) for the 3 of us ... she said no and he tried for 100. She had a little conversation with a nearby cop. We ended up paying the meter price ...
An Assault On The Senses

Feeling much braver and having got our bearings we set off by ourselves on the second day and used the Metro all day which is beautifully air conditioned and doesn’t hit traffic. Of course there is real poverty everywhere you go and the desperation shown by some of the autorickshaw drivers is quite intense when they are following you down the street and will not take no for an answer. Delhi in a day
Despite our 4.30am departure from the guest house in Bangkok, the owner still made sure he was there to see us off with a handshake. Nothing is too much trouble for them and something tells me that that will be the last of that level of hospitality. We shared a taxi with another couple also leaving for Bangkok airport and we were there in record time thanks to a wannabe racing driver taxi.
Apart from a fair bit of turbulence the flight ...
