The people there were great. Had an interesting choice for breakfast that included toast and some spreads, a few different types of cereal and tea and coffee.

So the tour itself was interesting, in that the guide was an ‘interesting character’ but I must say I was probably a bit disappointed. I’m not really sure what I was expecting but I was just left feeling pretty flat - it certainly didn’t help doing it in summer either, as it was hard to imagine the atmosphere of the time whilst walking around in bright daylight. ... wife by the Rosetta Stone. I wasn't even IN his way.We went on to see the Elgin Marbles. This was interesting because we had been to the Parthenon in Athens and we could now see what the original pediments looked like. We continued on with the Top 10, seeing, a figure from Easter Island, an Aztec Turquoise mosaic serpent,a gilded bronze figure of Tara ( a Buddhist goddess --I wasn't all that impressed) and the mummies. Alrighty chums, time for what will probably be my penultimate post for this trip as it's Wednesday night and I've only got Thursday and Friday left!
