... t really figured out how to get back to our hotel. I had read that finding a taxi is impossible and getting the metro is a nightmare on NYE so as our hotel was about 30 minutes car journey away we decided to walk towards a metro station but hope a taxi would drive by first. ... in the hall, and every day when I come back to my room, my towels smell like jasmine. It's in the older part of Dubai, but I feel very safe here and the staff are great. I'm not in the hub of things, but by having to walk, I really feel like I'm getting the true Dubai experience.
