... there was also a man doing the garden.....why are we surprised, soooo Steve! David was getting a bit peckish, Steve had a couple of bread cobs so he thought he would toast them, cutting them in half he put them in the toaster, within minutes the room was full of black smoke, we came to the conclusion that Steve didn't use that very much!! ... booked so we didn't have to queue as long as others, and then we passed through some super burly airport style security and walked along to get in what is, predictably, one of the fastest lifts in the world. When the lift door opened, so did my jaw... From up there you really get the scale of what they've built here, it was just ridiculous! ... to Diera City Centre which was where we were staying. It was simple enough, stepping out of the metro station near the hotel was the first time we'd felt the heat. WOW is all I can say, I've been aboard a fair few times but never felt heat like that, especially after sunset. We got to the hotel and checked in no problem. ... do it I guess. As a side note, you would never guess it, but the Bedouins now live in pretty posh digs. Not tents as you would think. The Sheik provided them with some beautiful upgraded homes out in the desert. They still have some tents so they can go out there if they want to rough it, I guess. But they live in mansions that are nicer than anything we have. So there you go. I guess the camel business is lucrative.
