Arrived in Dubai after very long flight. Emirates flight very good. The Dubai airport is very impressive however not very crowded (not many people about). Getting through the customs was easy except automated passport checking machine did not wired. Got a "pink" taxi (for families and females) with female driver. ... the Gold and Silver; the Spices, the textiles. To be quite honest I quickly got over this! It was unbearably hot, and I am not a price bargainer. They plead with you to come inside to look, do the big hard sell - how good they are, they are the best etc. Actually I didn't like their gold - it's very yellow or orange gold, and their 'silver' is mostly white gold, but looks greyish to me. Give me a Pandora or Kagi anyday - that's me.
