When I came out of the airport to get a cab to my hotel I was directed to a row of Pink Taxis. Turns out they are driven by women and for women only. Although they are allowed to carry men if they are with a woman. What a great idea.

And EVERY taxi driver here (male and female) wears a uniform.

The best part about this park is that you never had to pick up your tube and climb up stairs to get to waterslides - you could float right around the outside of the park in a tube as they had rapids to keep the water moving and conveyer belts to take you up high and then back down again to different areas of the park. ... would wipe your bum if you asked them too. The hotel is a work of art, its shaped like a ships sail and it lit up at night in changing colours. The fountain at the main lobby is a pretty show to see and we loved going to Wild Wadi World - the hotels local water park and the beach of course was very pretty. When it came time to leave it was very hard to, we enjoyed our stay and were very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in the worlds best hotel.

Dubai 3rd and 4th April 2013

We arrived in Dubai around 12 noon and were soon on our way by the Shuttle Bus into the town centre. After endeavouring to upload photos of our previous stops with a coffee at Starbucks, we gave up as the connection was so slow. We are now approaching the Suez Canal and have the feeling that we will not be able to update our blog so regularly but will do our best.
