... went down a treat. The scones were very nice too. The final course of little cakes was accompanied by the teas. I had a Red Lychee brew which was very fruity and refreshing. All this came to a mere AUD $134 each. Way overpriced but strangely enough, by the end of the evening, we were all full and had enjoyed our evening very much.

... the 13.5 hour leg we were facing to Brisbane. Boarded on time about 10am and the A380 pulled back pretty well on time. We then spent a fair amount of time sitting on the taxiway waiting for incoming traffic, which resulted in us taking off an hour late. ... Finally, I ended the visit by walking a little bit along Dubai creek. The creek was actually pleasant to walk around. I could see a couple of boats passing by and the scenery with the boats was pretty nice. After the creek, I headed back to the airport early at 7pm due to having nothing else in the city peak my interest enough to carry on.
