... t really figured out how to get back to our hotel. I had read that finding a taxi is impossible and getting the metro is a nightmare on NYE so as our hotel was about 30 minutes car journey away we decided to walk towards a metro station but hope a taxi would drive by first. ... have told me the Warehouse is the best place to go. Basically for four hours you get free food and free alcohol. My friend kindly treated me brunch, in left bank, found inside the Dubai mall. ... in the hall, and every day when I come back to my room, my towels smell like jasmine. It's in the older part of Dubai, but I feel very safe here and the staff are great. I'm not in the hub of things, but by having to walk, I really feel like I'm getting the true Dubai experience. It's not the experience of the Emirate people of course, but I'm definitely getting a taste of the life of the other 88% of the population.
